Grupa Azoty Polyolefins is part of Grupa Azoty - one of the largest chemical concerns in Poland and Europe. We create the Polyolefin segment - a business unit specializing in the production of Polypropylene. Our integrated installations for the production of polyolefins are a modern and independent plant located in the center of Europe.

Gryfilen^® Polipropylen

Produced under the Gryfilen® brand, polypropylene is a portfolio of over 30 types of products, including homopolymers, impact copolymers and random copolymers. They are used, among others, in the automotive, packaging and household appliances industries.

Gryfilen® is characterized by a very low content of volatile substances, it does not contain phthalates or bisphenol A (BPA). It also ensures minimal transmission of flavors and smells, a feature that is particularly important in applications in the food industry. Polypropylene is a material that can be easily and fully recycled, which makes it fit perfectly into the European assumptions of the Circular Economy.

The integrated chemical complex, located in Police, includes:

• A marine gas terminal that will allow the supply of two key raw materials for the investment, i.e. propane and ethylene. Three tanks were built at the Police gas port - two for propane with a capacity of 40,000. m3 each and one for ethylene with a capacity of 12 thousand. m3.
  
  
• Installation for the production of propylene using the propane dehydrogenation method (PDH). The Oleflex® technology based on the UOP license is used to carry out the catalytic dehydrogenation of propane, which is to produce propylene with a capacity of 429 thousand tons. tons per year.
  
  
• Installation for the production of polypropylene. Grace's UNIPOL® technology is based on gas phase polymerization and provides a simple and economical way to produce a wide range of types of the highest quality polypropylene.
  The PP installation will produce with a capacity of 437 thousand. tons of polypropylene in three types in total: homopolymers, impact copolymers and random copolymers.
  
  
• Modern logistics infrastructure is the area of storage, logistics and shipping of polypropylene. The heart of the Logistics Platform is 60 storage silos, with a capacity of approximately 450 tons of PP granules in each silo. The storage area for the product in bags allows for the storage of 22.4 thousand tons of PP.
  The total capacity of the logistics platform, including all 60 storage silos and an external storage yard, is approx. 50,000. tone.
  
  
• Auxiliary installations and inter-facility connections are intended to secure the necessary utilities required for the operation of the PDH Installation, PP Installation and PP Logistics Infrastructure.
